Excellent Contra Investment Educational Book

The Tao is a book that gives no secret way to investment success. What it does do is describe the brain's two sides and how they interact and provide the individual with useful knowledge. The author contends that western society places too much emphasis on left brain thinking.....and that is true. The race with the Russians to the moon due to Sputnik is an example of western left brain emphasis. The author spends a lot of pages going over the brain halves....perhaps too many pages. Still, the author shows by past Market history examples, the failings of sole left brain thinking. I, now sitting in the cart (age 62....drawing Social Security), witnessed many of the investment failures covered by the author. The book gives the reader examples to work to show their lack of right brain thinking. For any Investor that puts time and effort into their investments, the book is well worth reading to learn that everything you read from others could easily be too much tainted by their left brain. Be careful (& cautious) of those with elaborate spreadsheets and market research by big investment firms......is what I got out of this book.

Thought the story from beginning to end was good, BUT do not like the way Amazon let's you get Part 1 free then socks it to you for Part 2-3 so you can finish the book! Not impressed with that at all. Won't do,it again!!

Love hurts

This is book # 2 in The Boss's Son, a 3 part series. I recommend reading it in order for better grasp of the story and full understanding. I always advise readers to read in order the author intended.

Britt and Jack's story continues in this 2nd part. Jack has gone to Hong Kong to train and Britt has had to stay and wait on him. She is afraid since distance can be a factor for most couples to break up.

Jack is sure Britt is who he wants. He fell pretty hard for her and is trying everything to make it work. He calls and text her all the time.

Britt has just had a bad breakup before meeting Jack. She is also stressed out on him being her bosses son. She is afraid of how it will look to others so she keeps a secret, even from her best friend.

This story has a lot of humor and the characters are fun to read. Britt not telling her best friend leads to hijinx. The one thing that bugged me in this story was Britt making Jack feel last and dating others when she was "with" him. Overall I liked it though.

I was given an advanced copy of this book from the Hurricane Readers group in exchange for an honest review.
The story in itself was pretty good and the characters were easy to relate to. I enjoyed this book for the most part as it picks up right from the end of book 1. This book also ends in a cliffhanger. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

5 Hearts from TRS!

Love Ms. D'Arc's dragons? If so, this book will make you love them even more. As a fan of romance books with dragons, I was thrilled when I read the first book in this series and I have continued to be amazed as the books keep coming. Darius and Connor, the twin dragon princes are fantastic. Their characters are lifelike and despite them being twins, they are definitely unique individuals. But this book also allows the readers to get an update on our favorite knights like Roland, Nico, Drake and others. Unlike the previous books in this series, Dragon Storm bridges both worlds and allows the reader to travel between Draconia and modern day Earth. But no matter where they are, the attraction and the emotions swirling between Josie, Darius and Connor never stop. From the first moment they meet, the physical attraction between Josie and her two dragons is powerfully strong. It does not take long before they are in bed together having smoking hot sex. While the sex scenes are plentiful, they do not distract the reader from the story itself. This book is full of sexy shapeshifters, loads of sex, and massive doses of magic. This is one book and series I would recommend to anyone who enjoys books about shapeshifters, especially dragons. - Jacquelyn R. Ward

love the dragon knights!

I truly love Bianca's dragon series. I love all her books. I've said it before, I really appreciate that she can write stories that don't have one chaotic, frustrating conflict after another. Her heroes and heroines meet early on and pair up. They conquer the problems they encounter throughout the book together as a team. I love the feeling of loyalty and complete adoration. This book almost felt like a long lead-up to the next story which may be the major battle building up among the lands of Draconia. It was a very good book. A feel-good read. A nice change of pace from some of the other stories we read that have us tied up in knots the entire time... Don't get me wrong, those are definitely worth reading too!! But its nice to stay in touch with these wonderful characters and see how they are all doing in each story! Enjoy!! Well done once again, Bianca!

Loved This Book of the Series

This was the last of the series and possibly the best. It could have gone on for another book. I would love to have her continue a little bit more. The characters are very good and the story line is very good. I have read all 6 and if you like dragons you might like this series. I did start skipping a lot of the sex scenes. They got a little same ole, same ole to me and I just didn't care to read about them anymore. I like the story plot much better. I need to try to find more stories like this. I bought most of them at Amazon or a used book store so I feel I got my moneys worth. I am 70 years old(far from dead)(I hope) and I would be embarrassed to recommend this book to anyone I knew but if you are like me and still enjoy reading about sex, love, dragons, fantasy and more then go for it. The 3 way stuff I found interesting but like I said after awhile; you get my drift....

Danny D. Steinberg is Professor Emeritus of Surugadai University and has previously taught at University of Hawaii and Rikkyo University. He is author of a number of books on semantic theory and psycholinguistics including,Semantics: An Interdisciplinary Reader in Philosophy, Linguistics and Psychology (with L. Jakobovits; 1971) and Psycholinguistics: Language, Mind and World (with H Nagata and D. Aline; 2nd edition, 2000).

 

Natalia V. Sciarini is an independent researcher, writer and translator, and works at the Research Services and Collections Department at Yale University. She was previously a lecturer of Introductory Linguistics and the Theory and Practice of Translation at Ulyanovsk State University.

 

About the Author

Friedrich Ungerer is Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Rostock, Germany.
Hans-Jörg Schmid is Professor of Modern English Linguistics at the University of Munich, where he has also initiated the Interdisciplinary Centre for Cognitive Language Studies (ICCLS).

Hot Ice Enhance Carries on the Trdition

There are authors that write words and you read the story and like it. Then there are authors that write pictures and you become part of the story. Cherry Adair is one of the best of the latter and again she doesn't disappoint. In Hot Ice Enhanced we meet Taylor Kincaid, an American woman with more secrets than the law should allow and Huntington St. John, an avenging angel with 2 colors black and white, you are either good and evil , there are no gray areas. When they meet it is the battle of the independent woman and the Alpha male vs the bad guys. By the end of the story Taylor and Huntington have....no there are no spoiler alerts. You have to read this books, it isn't just about intrigue but there is humor and the battle to trust when that is the last you want to do. As with all her other books, you will not be disappointed, although your sleep patterns may need some tweaking. I gave this book 5 stars but I would not have one problem with going higher if I could.

Love the Enhanced Version!

This enhanced version of Hot Ice is one of my favorites. I love the characters and the storyline of the book. Huntington St. John is a T-FLAC operative working to stop the Morales terrorist organization. Taylor is a jewel thief who can break into any building, crack any safe and escape without a trace. It takes Hunt and T-FLAC to track her down and enlist her help on a little matter of saving the world. Hunt and Taylor get more than they bargained for and the sparks between them fly fast and furious.

In this enhanced version, we not only get the book, but also a dossier on Hunt and Taylor, a personal guide to Hot Ice, a great view behind the scenes of writing the book along with photos and more information on Cherry, T-FLAC and some of our favorite T-FLAC operatives. I loved learning new things about the characters and the book--I will definitely check out the other Cherry Adair enhanced books out there.

Every woman loves jewels! Rubies, diamonds, emeralds no matter they all rock. Be it the glitz and glam it adds to your perfect outfit or the thrill of slipping on something cool as ice when you feel hotter than hot no matter the fact remains woman love jewels.

But in this read the heroine is not so much for the thrill of wearing them as she is for the thrill of stealing them! And most of all diamonds are forever, men are so not. But Taylor makes a grave error when she steals more than she bargained for, a secret set of codes she never wanted nor needed. But now that she has them it 's either get them back to where they belong or use them for a bit of fun.

She does not count on hotter than hell Hunt coming after her, or to be exact hunt her down. The man is all kinds of delicious take me now hot, and soon she realizes the man is just as smart and witty as herself, and also dead set on getting the job done. Hunt and Taylor come to appreciate each other's skills and soon also each other's blazing hot attraction as they lose themselves to passion. But when Taylor slips from his bed to go after prize diamonds Hunt goes into double time as he has to chase her down all over again, but is he still after the codes or is there something more he's he wants to wrap himself around?

This book was so totally awesome and so hot it left me breathless, and begging for more. This author as a reputation of creating stunning realistic characters, mind blowing adventures, kick ass hero's and memorable heroines, and I am more than happy to say not only did she once again deliver it all on every page she did it even better than before!

The kick ass action in this read was so very addictive I wanted to grab a weapon and blow up the
bad-guys and yes more than once I was so lost in this read a bomb could have dropped next to me and I would not have know it at all.

The characters are addictive and you just want to climb inside their minds and stay there forever, the plot it one of pure brilliance and so well thought out, you will just as myself be on the edge of your seat at all times.

The author making both main characters equal in the sense that both know what they want and know how to get it, made this read thrilling beyond believe. I love a strong kick ass hero, but I also adore a heroine that can stand up for herself and fight back as good as she gets.

Absolutely amazing stuff! I highly recommend this read for all Cherry Adair fans, she entrances readers and takes them on adventures we all can only dream about!
