I was very disappointed in the one review I read for this book so I felt compelled to write my own. This book--along with the first three books in the series--is a great and entertaining way for an ADULT learner of Arabic to either refresh his/her Arabic language skills or learn new vocabulary and grammatical constructs. The author does a great job through the series of repeating vocabulary for easier language acquisition in conjunction with introducing new elements of Arabic grammar as one progresses through the series. As I mentioned, this series is not for children, not only are there no pictures--who cares, but the topics of the stories are beyond the understanding of children. Marriage, cultural diversity, war, politics, corruption, and poverty are a few of the concepts touched on by the stories. While I did not always agree with the view of the author, he introduces his philosophy on life beautifully and before you know it your Arabic has improved dramatically.

It tells everything related with Islam is good and western world is bad. Too religious and too politically for language book.

Many stories in this book gives false image about Islam, Muslims, and Western world. I am Asian, and I lived in America for 20 years and I have lived in Arabic countries for years. I interact with many Muslims so I understand their religion and culture. This book tells everything related with Islam and Muslim is good, and everything related with Western world is bad. This book is good to learn the Arabic language, but I don't understand why the author wrote stories that way. Sahlawayhi 2 even tells that "American president is crazy". This book is too political and too religious for non-Muslims readers. I got upset many times while studying this book.

Great Adult Learning Tool

Don't want to get too repetitive in the reviews but I just thought I'd throw in my two cents. Definitely an excellent resource for an adult learning audience. I found it just a bit disappointing only in its difficulty because at the time I purchased it, it was the most advanced of the books. Also, I do kind of wish Khorshid would begin to include some 'aamiya' but I also understand that could open up a whole linguistic and learning debate, separately. Enjoy!
